Rishabh Pant paid a visit to the Delhi Capitals squad in Bengaluru on Friday ahead of their Indian Premier League match against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru scheduled to take place on Saturday.

In a post shared by the official Twitter handle of the IPL, the injured DC player can be seen interacting with various members of the Delhi squad.

When asked about his recovery, Pant said, “I am recovering very well and I’m getting better with each passing day. I came to visit the National Cricket Academy and the Delhi Capitals happened to be there. So I met the team.” Though he is recovering, he is unlikely to make a comeback anytime soon.

He further added, “I just saw how the team’s practice is carrying on. I really love to be around the boys and I am missing it.” The wicketkeeper-batter also wished the team ahead of its next game. “My heart and soul are always with the Delhi Capitals. I would like to wish them all the best for their next match.”

Last week, Pant, who is recuperating from injuries suffered from a horrific car accident last year, was in attendance for Delhi Capitals’ home match against Gujarat Titans at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Pant, wearing a white shirt and shorts and a heavily strapped right knee, was sitting in the team owners’ box after Delhi were sent out to bat by the defending champions after winning the toss.

In the build-up to the match, there was a heartwarming gesture from the fans as well with a certain section of fans carrying a big jersey of Pant in the stands.

Pant had the accident after his car collided with a road divider on the Delhi-Dehradun highway in the wee hours of December 30. The star India wicket-keeper batter was lucky to survive serious injuries due to his alertness, jumping off his Mercedes in the nick of time as the car went up in flames after hitting the divider.
