Next over, Abhishek perished, trying to clear the long-on, but Heinrich Klaasen (53 not out off 27b; 2x4, 4x6) carried on. Abdul Samad put on a brisk 59-run stand with Klaasen in 33 balls. All-rounder Mitchell Marsh put up a grand show with the bat and till the time he was at the crease, Delhi were on course for a win. Leg-spinner Mayank Markande (2/20) took a sensational return catch, lunging low to his right, to terminate Salt's knock. They lost the momentum post that dismissal to lose the game by nine runs. The hosts had totally lost the momentum in what seemed like a comfortable chase. Delhi Capitals lost the wickets of Salt, Manish Pandey and Mitchell Marsh inside two overs. The Indian batting unit of Delhi Capitals failed again. Manish Pandey (1 off 3b), Priyam Garg (12 off 9b; 1x4) and Sarfaraz Khan (9 off 10b; 1x4) were all out cheaply. Axar Patel, Capitals' best batsman after David Warner, walked out to bat at No 7 and by the time he came to bat, the match was out of their grasp.
