France Football 2025 Golden Ball Ceremony HIGHLIGHTS: Paris Saint-Germain and France forward Ousmane Dembele pipped Spain and Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal to the 2025 Ballon D’Or. Dembele had powered PSG to the Champions League title last season and the moment marks a remarkable turnaround in the 28-year-old forward’s career, which had steemingly stalled at Barcelona between 2017 and 2023 after a big money move from Borussia Dortmund.

    Started in the year 1956, the Ballon d’Or is the highest individual prize in world football and for the first time ever, the 2025 tournament will feature a star-studded awards ceremony with an equal number of accolades for both men’s and women’s football. Awards will be presented to the best male and female playeryoung playergoalkeepertop scorer, and coach. A new Socrates Award will also be introduced to honor humanitarian efforts.
