Yuvraj Singh blasted his way to an unbeaten 78 off 59 balls as Punjab coasted to a six wicket victory against Rajasthan to put a foot in the quarterfinal of the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
With their fourth win in five matches, Punjab are on top of group A with 16 points and a match to go.
Courtesy Yuvraj, who hit 10 fours and two sixes, Punjab raced to the victory target of 271 in only 44.4 overs. Opener Jiwanjot Singh (66) and Mandeep Singh (60) also made significant contributions.
Along with Mayank Siddana (25), Yuvraj added 75 runs in only 9.3 overs as they hardly broke sweat while achieving the target.
Earlier, Brainder Sran (4/60) had the best figures as Rajasthan posted a decent 270/7 in 50 overs.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Manender Singh scored 118 in 129 balls with six boundaries and three sixes while Puneet Yadav (43) and Ashok Menaria (32) also chipped in with useful runs.

Jharkhand beat Karnataka
Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s poor run of form in domestic cricket continued as he scored only one but Jharkhand managed to comfortably beat defending champions Karnataka to get a step closer to the qualifying for the quarter-finals of the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Batting first, Jharkhand scored 216 for 9 with Ishank Jaggi (50), Saurabh Tiwary (43) and Kumar Deobrat (47) being the chief contributors.

Mumbai came up with a fine bowling and batting display to register a comfortable six-wicket win over Services in their Group A match of the Vijay Hazare One-Day cricket tournament.
After bundling out Services for 151, Mumbai made short work of their chase to gallop to their target in 25.2 overs.

Gujarat beat Haryana
Medium-pacer Rush Kalaria claimed a four-wicket haul as Gujarat defeated Haryana by 28 runs in a Vijay Hazare Trophy Group B cricket match.
Chasing a target of 260 after putting Gujarat into bat on winning the toss, Haryana were bowled out for 231 in 49.5
overs.

Vidarbha trounce Tripura
Ganesh Satish and Jitesh Sharma blasted twin centuries as Vidarbha trounced Tripura by 158 runs in their Group C match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy at Palam B Ground.
Put into bat, Vidarbha posted a mammoth 324 for five in their stipulated 50 overs, courtesy an unbeaten 140 off 134 by Satish and a 108-ball 105 by Sharma. Satish cracked 12 boundaries and four sixes, while Sharma’s innings was laced with 10 boundaries and a six.

Railways defend total against J&K
Left-arm spinner Ashish Yadav scalped three batsmen as Railways defended a modest total of 200, eking out a 43-run win over Jammu and Kashmir in a Vijay Hazare Trophy match.
Skipper Karn Sharma top scored with a 60-run knock as Railways put on board 200 after being invited to bat at KSCA Cricket Ground.
Hyderabad defeated Assam by 72 runs in Vijay Hazare
Tanmay Agarwal (83) and GH Vihari (51) smashed twin half-centuries to power Hyderabad to a comfortable 72-run win over Assam in a Group A match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Agarwal blasted four boundaries and three sixes in his 77-ball innings, while Vihari’s 67-ball innings was laced with three fours and a six.
Arup Das (3/45) and Jogeswar Bhumiz (3/58) were the top wicket takers for Assam, while Krishna Das and Amit Verma also picked one each.
Andhra beat Odisha
A G Pradeep smashed an unbeaten 102 as Andhra Pradesh defeated Odisha by 55 runs in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Andhra, electing to bat, posted 261 for four before dismissing the opposition for 206 for a comprehensive win.
Besides centurion Pradeep, Jyothi Sai Krishna (72) shone with the bat for Andhra.
In the bowling department, D Siva Kumar bagged four wickets conceding 37 runs in 10 overs.
