So proud of the boys and our coaches. Everyone was open to batting first, our plan was get a few runs and back ourselves. (On Harjas Singh) He is a quality player, class is permanent. Full credit to the coaches for sticking with him. India are a class side, they dominated the whole tournament, just came the wrong side. I'm sure these guys will do a lot of great things in their career. (On the pacers )They can go so far, as a unit they know their roles so well. I'll be surprised if the four of them don't go a long way in their careers.

I'm proud of the boys, they played really well. Showed good fighting spirit throughout the tournament. We played a few rash shots today, didn't spend time in the middle. We were prepared but couldn't execute the plans. Lots of learnings from this tournament, learnt a lot from the support staff and even during the games. We will try to keep learning and getting better.

Pretty surreal, hasn't sunk it yet. It is something that we have been working for a long time, happy it paid off. They have been incredible, we knew it would be a good battle. I backed my short balls and tried to smash it into the wicket. Through DK, I've learnt a lot of mental stuff. Thinking about my bowling, thinking about field settings. He's been incredible, always a pleasure to bowl alongside him. Future goals will be probably the Big Bash, and go back home and try to play some cricket for my state.

Vidler: A memory I'll definitely remember for the rest of my life. Once in a life time opportunity. Doesn't matter, we've won the World Cup.

Beardman: The amount of work we’ve put in over a year or so, it feels surreal. We have to take time to realize what we have done, and standing here feels like a dream come true. We are really strong as mates, the team bonding out here is great.

Straker: Great feeling. We've worked for a year for this. We've been in Brisbane, been to England, all for this moment, and it's finally come. We're all good mates (fast bowlers). We all want to play with each other. Love the four quicks playing. I won't be leading the celebrations but I'll be joining in.

Konstas: Lost for words. Been an amazing journey. India were so good, they are the benchmark. To get the win, I'm so proud of the boys. Was a great team effort. Credit to our coaches. They've been amazing. We just stuck to our plans and processes.

Tom Straker in the attack now. Can he clean up the tailenders? Starts with a wide and Pandey defends the next 2 deliveries. Still nothing from the ensuing balls as Pandey struggles to get off strike. And that's a catch. All over. India are done. Australia win by 79 runs

Anderson who was wobbling after his last over, is back in the attack. Beats Tiwari with the first ball before unleashing a bouncer next. Another block by Tiwari as he struggles to get off strike. And he gets hit on the helmet next and there will be a break in play as a concussion check will be carried on. He is fine and takes a single. IND: 173 for 9 after 43 overs (Naman Tiwari 14* Saumy Pandey 2*) 

Raf MacMilllan in to finish India off but Saumy Pandey takes a single to start this over off. A low shout for a catch but it's just a single for Tiwari. Nothing from the next couple of deliveries and the over ends without anything of note. IND: 171 for 9 after 42 overs (Naman Tiwari 12* Saumy Pandey 1*) 

Vidler continues and Tiwari has been put down by the Aussie skipper. And he gets a chance to reprieve himself in the very next ball Murugan hits it high and Weibgen can take an even easier catch. IND: 168 for 9 after 40.3 overs (Naman Tiwari 12* Murugan Abhishek 42) 

Raf MacMilllan is back in the attack again and Tiwari takes a single off the first ball before Murugan takes a single of his own. Tiwario on strike and he has deposited the bowler into the crowd for a monster six!! This is the highest partnership in the Indian innings. IND: 166 for 8 after 40 overs (Naman Tiwari 11* Murugan Abhishek 41*) 

Vidler back and Murugan flicks him mid-wicket for a single. Tiwari swings at the next ball and is beaten comprehensively. Another dot follows. Ohhh. That might have hurt. The ball is banged in and it hits the helmet of Tiwari but he looks alright. Takes a single and Murugan can see this over off. Bouncer to end. IND: 158 for 8 after 39 overs (Naman Tiwari 4* Murugan Abhishek 40*) 

Straker in the attack and Murugan edges but gets a single before Tiwari lets the next ball go. He pokes the 3ed ball towards third man for a single. Murugan on strike and he hits Straker for a straight four!! Swings again but gets just a single. He is not giving up just yet. IND: 156 for 8 after 38 overs (Naman Tiwari 3* Murugan Abhishek 39*) 

Charlie Anderson brought back to the attack and Murugan Abhishek has hit the second ball straight as an arrow for a four!! Goes for it again and this time a pull gets him another boundary to fine leg. Wide next as Anderson looks like to be struggling a bit here. Abhishek does not care as he hits another straight but gets just 2 this time. 2 wides follow and ends with a dot IND: 149 for 8 after 37 overs (Naman Tiwari 2* Murugan Abhishek 33*)

Straker back into the attack and Murugan Abhishek takes a single to start. Tiwari on strike and he ducks the second ball while the third is a wide. Tiwari swings at the next bal but it just goes past his willow's edge. Shouts of woo hoo fills the air as Tiwari heaves and misses another. Mahli Beardman will bowl his 7th over and Tiwari is rooted to the spot. Nothing from the first 3 deliveries. The fourth gets the same treatment as Tiwari lets it go. maiden over. IND: 134 for 8 after 35 overs (Naman Tiwari 2* Murugan Abhishek 22*)

Raf MacMilllan in the attack again. Tiwari takes a single to start this one. Murugan Abhishek on strike and he hits a four towrads sweeper cover. He won't be going down silently. IND: 134 for 8 after 34 overs (Naman Tiwari 2* Murugan Abhishek 22*)

Beardman steams in and starts with a huge appeal for an LBW. Lucky for India, the umpire isn't interested.A bouncer off the 4th and the over stays at 0. Wide now and the chance of a maiden is gone. 4 leg byes to finish the over. IND: 127 for 8 after 33 overs (Naman Tiwari 0* Murugan Abhishek 17*)

Raf MacMilllan in to bowl the next one and Murugan Abhishek with a huge heave that goes over the long on boundary for a six!!! Gets a single next and India are going to fight till the end!! But Raj Limbani is bowled over in the other end!! IND: 122 for 8 after 31.5 overs (Raj Limbani 0 47 Murugan Abhishek 17*)

Beardman is back in the attack as the Aussie captain wants to get this over as soon as possible. And he does strike. Adarsh tries to go for another pull towards fine leg, gets it horribly wrong and Hicks with the catch.  IND: 115 for 7 after 30.3 overs (Adarsh Singh 47 Murugan Abhishek 10*)

Raf MacMilllan again and he starts with 3 back to back dots before Murugan Abhishek sneaks a single. Singh with a single of his own next to return the favour. And that over has just whooshed past. Just 2 singles from it.  IND: 115 for 6 after 30 overs (Adarsh Singh 47* Murugan Abhishek 10*)

Callum Vidler continues and Abhishek and Adarsh rotate strikes with singles. India will need more than singles though but they are probably looking to build a partnership. Adarsh, meanwhile, has hit an inside out shot that goes to the sweeper cover boundary!! And he pulls next for a sixer over the fine leg boundary!!  IND: 113 for 6 after 29 overs (Adarsh Singh 46* Murugan Abhishek 9*)

Raf MacMilllan in the attack and great bit of fielding by the fielder to keep Murugan Abhishek on strike. After 2 dots, Abhishek finally gets a proper bat to the 4th delivery and it's over extra cover for a boundary. Follows that up with a single and 100 up for India.  IND: 100 for 6 after 28 overs (Adarsh Singh 36* Murugan Abhishek 7*)

Callum Vidler is back in the attack as Australia look to clean up India's tail. Singh takes a single to start this one off before Abhishek pokes the third for a single of his own. Adarsh plays the next one straight into the air but it just crosses the 30-yard circle and lands safely. IND: 95 for 6 after 27 overs (Adarsh Singh 35* Murugan Abhishek 2*)

Raf MacMilllan will continue his onslaught and Adarsh defends the first ball!! He needs to get going at some point but Aravelly Avanish has played it straight to the bowler. Caught and bowled!!! India in deep trouble. IND: 91 for 6 after 24.3 overs (Adarsh Singh 33* Aravelly Avanish 0)

Anderson in to bowl his 7th over and Moliya takes a single to start this one off. Adarsh on strike and he tries to get away but the ball isn't being hit as clean as he wants. A bit of a misfield and he is finally able to take a single. And Moliya tries to hit one over the circle for a six but it's mishit and Callum Vidler makes no mistake. IND: 90 for 5 after 24.5 overs (Adarsh Singh 32* Priyanshu Moliya* 9)

MacMilllan to bowl the 24th over and after Adarsh takes a single, the spinner stifles Moliya who gets a single after 3 dots to sweeper cover. Just 2 from this over. IND: 88 for 4 after 24 overs (Adarsh Singh 31* Priyanshu Moliya* 8)

Charlie Anderson to bowl the next one and there's a cry for catch it but it's just short of the fielder. Just the two from the first two deliveries of this over. A little bit of hesitation from the batters but Moliya completes another single. A shout for an LBW again but it's halfhearted and the umpire is not interested. IND: 86 for 4 after 23 overs (Adarsh Singh 31* Priyanshu Moliya* 7)

MacMilllan will continue and Moliya takes a single off the second delivery. Adarsh on strike and he tries a sweep but it's mistimed before taking a single towards sweeper cover. Another single to end. IND: 81 for 4 after 22 overs (Adarsh Singh 30* Priyanshu Moliya* 5)

Charlie Anderson returns to the attack and Adarsh flicks for a single. The new man Priyanshu Moliya is on strike now and he defends the next two balls. Takes a single finally and Adarsh can see this off. 4 from the over IND: 78 for 4 after 21 overs (Adarsh Singh 29* Priyanshu Moliya 3)

Raf MacMilllan and spin introduced and he has struck straightaway!!! There's a feather of an edge and he is stumped by the keeper Hocks!! IND: 68 for 4 after 19.1 overs (Adarsh Singh 22* Sachin Dhas 9)

Beardman continues and Singh tries to go off strike with some pulls and hooks but he is not timing it properly as everything is finding the fielder inside the circle. Gets an edge towards deep third man and takes a single. Dhas gets an edge of his own but it's grounded so he has a single added to his name as well. Singh uses his wrists and flicks away for 2 to end the over. IND: 68 for 3 after 19 overs (Adarsh Singh 22* Sachin Dhas 9*)

Straker in to bowl the next one and Dhas on strike and he hits the second ball straight back towards the bowler. Gets just the two runs though. Pulls the 4th delivery towards the backward square leg boundary but there is protection there to keep it at just a single. Singh returns the favour and Dhas can see this over off and he threads it through the cover for a boundary!! IND: 64 for 3 after 18 overs (Adarsh Singh 19* Sachin Dhas 8*)

Beardman again and that beats Saharan. The next one raps his pads and the Aussies go up in appeal but the umpire isn't interested. The Indian skipper finally goes off strike with a single to backward square leg. AAANNDD he's gone!!! Little bit of a swing and Saharan slashes at it and it's straight to Weibgen. IND: 55 for 3 after 16.5 overs (Adarsh Singh 18* Uday Saharan 8)

We are back after a drinks break and Straker with the ball in hand as there is no let up in the pace department. Whooshes towards Saharan who defends the first ball.Tries a drive next but a fielder inside the circle mops it up. Still no run from this over.The intimidation continues as a bouncer is deployed next which goes flying over the batter's head.Just a single off the last ball as Saharan retains strike.  IND: 53 for 2 after 16 overs (Adarsh Singh 17* Uday Saharan 7*)

Beardman will look for another wicket as he bowls to the Indian captain. Saharan takes a single off the second before Adarsh defends the next ball. Another defensive block as Beardman harries the batters. A half-hearted appeal for caught behind but it's just a wide. There was a noise though. IND: 52 for 2 after 15 overs (Adarsh Singh 17* Uday Saharan 6*)

Pace at both ends as Straker continues. Saharan on strike and he flicks for a single off the first ball to go off strike. Singh slashes the next ball towards the deep third boundary but Beardman is there to clean it up. Nothing from the next couple of deliveries as Saharan navigates the pace. Beautifully played as he guides the next ball towards sweeper cover and gets 3. Uffff!!! Another edge and it's safe again as it's just beyond the left hand of Harjas Singh as Adatsh survives. IND: 50 for 2 after 14 overs (Adarsh Singh 17* Uday Saharan 5*)

Beardman in the attack now and maybe he can provide a bit of variation. Good drive by Musheer on the offside and it just goes to the boundary despite the valiant efforts of Sam Konstas. And would you know it!! The next ball goes right through Khan's defence, hits the bottom edge and rattles the stumps. IND: 40 for 2 after 12.2 overs (Adarsh Singh 12* Musheer Khan 22)

Straker will look to strike in his second over as Singh leaves the first delivery as it whistles past him. The second ball is a carbon copy of the first and the batter lets that go as well. Reaches out and strikes at the next one but there's a fielder there. Good over thus far with no runs from this one as the run rate creeps up. IND: 36 for 1 after 12 overs (Adarsh Singh 12* Musheer Khan 18*)

Now then, the first powerplay is done. Now the field will spread. Vidler will bowl his 6th over and Singh takes a single off the first delivery. Musheer on strike and what a straight drive to send the next to the long on boundary!! Follows it up with another straight batted drive but Australia have the area covered to keep it at a single. There's a shout for a caught behind but it's a wide. Vidler's most expensive over thus far. IND: 36 for 1 after 11 overs (Adarsh Singh 12* Musheer Khan 18*)

First-change bowler Straker has been brought into the attack. He has had a fabulous semifinal game. India has got to a sedate start here. The ball has stopped moving but it seems at the moment like batters are now getting into their shells a bit which is not ideal either. They need to keep taking their chances from time to time. As Straker is the kind of bowler who once gets into his rhythm he will keep hitting that area which will eveuntally create wickets. 

Musheer after getting dropped initially is playing well. His judgment outside the off-stump has been top-notch. This ball won't swing for longer hence if the batters can see through this opening burst from the bowlers batting might get easier. And in the modern day, batters are not worried about the run rate. At this point, it is all about playing each ball on its merit and preserving the wickets. Australian bowlers on the other hand have been a bit too short.

Musheer was dropped the previous over of Anderson. The ball pitched on the off-stump and moved away and Dixon at second slip dropped the chance. This has been a probing spell from the Australian newball bowlers. They are hitting the channels and the ball is moving a touch. In addition to that, there is a steady breeze going which is adding more trouble to the Indian batters. The Australian seamers already are exploiting a lot more than the Indians did in the first innings. 

Vidler picks Kulkarni. What an intelligent bowling from Vidler. He bowled a short one on the previous ball which Kulkarni hit just over the inner ring for a couple and the bowler followed up with a fuller one and Kulkarni hanging his bat outside the off-stump got the edge to the keeper. Excellent start for Australia. Musheer Khan has walked into the middle. India needs to be a bit careful here as the ball is new and it is moving both ways. 

The openers walk into the middle for India. It is going to be a cracking chase. The Australian bowling has some serious pace in them and Indian batters have quality we are going to lot of ebbs and flows in the chase.

o start off, the pacers and spinners were bowling well. I took my time with the field spread out, then when the bad balls were there to hit, I hit them. Playing spin is certainly my strong point and we had our tour to Sri Lanka in the off period, that has certainly helped me. We are happy with this total, given our bowling performance and how good our quicks have been. Hopefully we can defend it.

Peake played a lovely cameo here helping Australia to get over 250. If India manages to get 254 it will be the highest total chased in the final by an Under 19 team. Credit must be also given to Harjas Singh for the way he batted in the middle order. All in all, it has been a solid batting performance from Australia. As per India, their bowling has been bittersweet. While spinners struggled to create breakthroughs seamers have been excellent. The pitch though started well kept detoriating we have to wait and see how much Australian seamers will get out of it. 

Growing up, Raj Limbani had two options, either focus on studies like his other siblings or help his father in farming. But unlike his brother and sisters, Raj moved to Baroda, 550km away from Dayapar, a village in Rann of Kutch, to chase his dream of playing cricket.

“From our village, Pakistan border is only 27 km away. So generally, the kids from our village go to Ahmedabad, Surat or Baroda for studies. But in Raj’s case, it was different. In 2017, he moved to Baroda just to play cricket,” father Vasant Patel tells the Indian Express. (Read more)

Another one goes down. It is Anderson this time. Limbani picks his third wicket of the evening. This might be the opportunity for Peake to take the bowling on a bit. Looks like Limbani is the dangerous bowler for Australia and he might be the bowler Peake would try and take a maximum strike against and not late the tail expose. While India will be happy in some aspects Australia would not be too disappointed with their effort either because of the deterioration of the pitch. AUS: 223 for 7 after 44.3 overs (Tom Straker 1* Oliver Peake 26*)

We had a slight delay in play as Limbani held his hamstring and the physio walked into the middle to treat him. Seems like it is an issue of just cramps as he took some fluids and seems all right to bowl now. He has been Mr. Consitent with the ball for India. Spell after a spell he has run in and kept batters honest. Once again he has looked in excellent bowling rhythm today. Meanwhile, we have to wait and see how aggressive will Peake be from here on and what do they think is a good total on this pitch. AUS: 209 for 6 after 44.3 overs (Charlie Anderson 5* Oliver Peake 24*)

Australia have got themselves to 200-mark here. Despite the wickets falling they have been scoring at a brisk pace which meant they are in a semi-decent situation at the moment. However, Ollie Peake has a challenge on his hands batting with the tail here. Though the wicket did not offer much as the innings kept progressing the ball started to misbehave hence one would assume Australia would be more than happy to get to the 240-250 mark. AUS: 200 for 6 after 40 overs (Charlie Anderson 2* Oliver Peake 18*)

Australia has decided to go with one batter short today. If India can break this partnership they will fancy their chances to bowl out Australians. As we update MacMillian tried to push the ball straight and the ball gripped a bit and stopped and the batter went through with the shot ending up giving a simple catch to bowler Musheer. Now Australia is in a lot of trouble with only one recognized batter left in the middle. AUS: 187 for 6 after 40 overs (Charlie Anderson 0* Oliver Peake 10*)

Hajras Singh scored a sublime half-century. However, immediately after his half-century, he tried to slog sweep Pandey missed the ball, and was trapped in front of the wicket. Pandey looked nullified well by the Aussies so far however, with one false shot the left-arm spinner is back in the game. This has been an absorbing innings so far. We had some big shots, classic shots excellent deliveries from the bowlers. AUS: 182 for 5 after 38.1 overs (Raf MacMillan 0* Oliver Peake 7*)

Australia opener Harjas Singh has had a forgettable U-19 World Cup so far, reaching double figures only twice. He has managed only 45 runs in six outings, but is confident to take on Pakistan’s fancied pace battery comprising Ubaid Shah, Mohammad Zeeshan and Ali Mirza in Thursday’s second semi-final, the winners of which will face defending champions India for the title.

“Just a few innings back, I had scored against England (Youth Test). I don’t think I need to change anything in my batting technique,” Harjas tells The Indian Express from Benoni. (Read more from Partyush Raj)

Just when things are looking good Limbani picks Hicks. The ball pitched and jagged back into the batter and kept a touch low and Hicks had no answers to it. Just when the partnership was looking in decent touch India created a breakthrough. Brilliant bowling this from the Indian seamers. Also, that is the first sign of invariable bounce on the surface. The captaincy from Saharan too has been proactive as he did not wait till the end to bring back Limbani into attack.

Australia is on its way to getting to that around the 250-275 mark. Any score of that magnitude will be hard to chase for India especially given it is the final. While the bowlers have not bowled too poorly it is the combination of bowlers chosen to play this game might be the problem. Probably India should have played with another seamer however, we will find it out at the end of the second innings after Australia uses four of their seamers on this surface. AUS: 151 for 3 after 28.4 overs (Ryan Hicks 18* Hajras Singh 33*)

Hajras Singh looks like he has got his eye on here. He is playing shots freely against the spinners. Runs started to flow for the Australians in the last couple of overs. This partnership is scoring at more than run-a-ball here. India needs to be wary here of not letting this partnership run away. So far the wicket has been excellent to bat apart from bowlers creating opportunities and batters making mistakes there has not been anything unusual from the surface. AUS: 133 for 3 after 28.4 overs (Ryan Hicks 16* Hajras Singh 18*)

Tiwari is in the middle of an excellent spell here. He is bowling every ball each over which is impossible to play. Australia might be better off seeing his spell here and trying and target other bowlers. Also, it has been a different end Tiwari is coming from compared to the one which he started. While Pandey is bowling economically he once again failed to pick wickets. This is a bit of a challenge for Australia as they have to do it all over again. Get themselves and build a partnership. AUS: 112 for 3 after 26.1 overs (Ryan Hicks 9* Hajras Singh 5*)

Another one goes down it was a knuckleball from Tiwari this time and Dixon had no clue about it. It was not a perfectly executed delivery but enough for the batter to get disguised. The batter withdrew his drive at the last moment and the ball hit high on the bat and looped in the air for the mid-wicket fielder inside the ring to take a simple catch. What a spell this is turning out to be from Tiwari. He is bringing in his variations with the old ball as well. He is pumped up and the batters need to be wary of it. AUS: 101 for 3 after 21.4 overs (Ryan Hicks 1* Hajras Singh 2*)
