Ellis will bowl the 18th and starts with a cutter which is pushed by Kuldeep for a single. And bowled em!!! That delivery is straight and quick and through Praveen Dubey. DC 123/8 after 17.2 overs 

Arshdeep steams in for the 17th over and begins with 2 back to back dots as Kuldeep navigates nervously. A fuller one and it;s hit straight at Arshdeep. Another dot. Finally Kuldeep off the mark in this over with a single. DC 122/7 after 17 overs

Nathan Ellis in to bowl the 16th and the DC batters rotate strikes off the first 2 balls with consecutive singles. The scoreboard is ticking along. Aman pulls the slower 4th ball and Brar is there to take the catch!! DC 118/7 after 15.4 overs

Arshdeep Singh will bowl the 15th and yields two from the first 2 balls. Praveen places the 3rd for a boundary. They need many more of those. The over ends with a six and Khan has just picked the delivery up and deposited it over the ropes. DC 115/6 after 15 overs

Rahul Chahar will bowl the 14th and he has bowled 5 dot balls back to back. Delhi batters are struggling at the momeent. Ends the over with a boundary by Aman Khan. DC 102/6 after 14 overs

Namit Kumar: Punjab needed a headlining performance from someone with the ball to make sure Prabhsimran's fighting 100 did not go in vain, and left-arm spinner Harpreet Brar did the job.

After Delhi's brilliant powerplay, their batting lineup was well-placed to not depend on boundaries and get the job done of chasing 168 without much hassle, a situation which turned on its head after Punjab knocked down six wickets in five overs. Four of those were Harpreet's - a slower and shorter one knocked off Salt's stumps and then two fullish deliveries that found just enough turn to get Roussow caught in the deep, and later Warner leg before.

The pick of the bunch was the corker against Manish, pitching it on leg stump to bait him into knocking it down fine leg, before the ball found turn and knocked over the top of his off stump. The fine spin bowling of Harpreet, aided by Rahul Chahar, caused Delhi to collapse from 65-0 after six, to 95-6 after 12.

No let up for Delhi as Punjab has now introduced Sikandar Raza. Just 3 from the first 5 balls and it ends with the same. Excellent from the bowler. PBKS 98/6 after 13 overs

Namit Kumar: This game is further proof of why, prior to Saturday, four of the five teams that have won in Delhi did so while chasing. The surface just doesn't get slower, and Warner, who used his bowlers very well in the first innings powerplay, has set the stage perfectly early in the second.

Delhi have not set the world alight this IPL, and there have been very few flashes of genuine batting brilliance from any of their top-order batsmen so far. But this was vintage Warner, playing with the field to get to his 50 in just 23 balls. In that time he hit nine fours and a six, each of them with a straight bat and timed to perfection. Delhi were 65-0 after the powerplay, and despite losing three wickets in quick succession in the next few overs, very well placed to round out the run chase.

Rahul Chahar will continue the spin onslaught but Dubey starts this over with a boundary. That's the only runs that is going to come from this over as the next 5 balls are dots. DC 95/6 after 12 overs

Harpreet Brar to continue and what a delivery to start this over!!! Peach of a delivery completely bamboozles Manish Pandey and takes off the bails. That's his 4th of the match. Delhi unravelling. DC 88/6 after 10.1 overs

Chahar will bowl the 10th and he strikes!!! Axar is hit plumb on the pads. The umpire raises his finger. Delhi will review though.Pitching in line, impact in line and wickets umpire's calll. Axar goes. 2 in 2 for Punjab. DC 86/5 after 9.1 overs

Huge shout from Brar off the 5th ball for an LBW. The onfield umpire says no but Dhawan has taken the review. UltraEdge shows no bat involvement. And the wickets are alos hitting. The onfield umpire has to reverse his decision. Huge wicket. DC 86/4 after 9 overs

Harpreet Brar will bowl the 9th and he strikes again!!! Rossouw tries to go big after a four off the previous over but holes out to Sikandar Raza. Rossouw's subpar IPL campaign continues. DC 81/3 after 8.1 overs

Rahul Chahar in to bowl the 8th and Warner takes a single to bring up his 50. The next ball, Mitchell Marsh has taken a review after being given LBW. Looked pretty plumb though. And impact is umpire's call. DC 74/2 after 7.2 overs

Harpreet Brar to bowl the 7th and he strikes just after the strategic timeout. Salt tries to go after him after the boundary off the first ball, misses the line and it all ends up. DC 69/1 after 6.2 overs

Last over of the powerplay and Arshdeep is introduced. Starts with a dot off a slow bouncer. Warner pulls the next ball for a boundary. The next ball gets the same treatment but it's a six!! What a shot!! A dot and a single follows. The over ends with another single. DC 65/0 after 6 overs

Ellis will run in for the penultimate over of the powerplay. Misfield enables 2 runs for Salt. A single next to put Warner back on strike. Misfield again as Warner smashes the 3rd ball through Curran for a four. The next one is smashed for four more!!! Back to back boundaries. DC 53/0 after 5 overs

Sam Curran to bowl the 4th and Warner off the back foot again to grab a four. Pierces the midwicket region to add to the tally. Salt smashes one next and what a terrific bit of fielding by Ellis to keep it from reaching the boundary. Over ends with an edge to get four. Warner's day today it seems. DC 41/0 after 4 overs

Spin is introduced in the 3rd over and Harpreet Brar wil bowl this one. Warber goes back foot and smashes him for a four. Salt joins the party with a drive to get four more!! Just waited for that and smashed it. Great shot again and finds the gap again. That's the 3rd boundary of this over. Just too easy for Salt. DC 29/0 after 3 overs

Sam Curran in to bowl the 2nd over and Salt pulls for a single. Raps Warner's thigh does the second ball. Finds space on the onside again and gets four more. Slower ball and it's just misses the outside edge of Salt's bat. A cutter to end the over. DC 16/0 after 2 overs

Warner and Philip Salt are at the crease. Warner is on strike. Rishi Dhawan will open the attack. And what a start bty the DC cap[tain. Hits back to back fours, one on the leg side and another on the off. 2 singles off the next 2 balls. DC 10/0 after 1 over

Namit Kumar: All throughout this IPL season, there has been great debate about the kind of score that justifies playing over 60 balls - half an innings - for a single batsman in modern-day T20, where individual scores prove less effective than a collection of bursts. But few can argue that Prabhsimran Singh's century at the Kotla - a one-man rescue act - is one of the most crucial of this tournament.

Prabhsimran saw three wickets fall down the other end in the powerplay, and dropped anchor with Sam Curran to build a partnership. He was 53 from 44 balls. He then accelerated after building the base, hitting eight boundaries (two of which cleared the rope) between overs 14-18 before getting out after scoring a 65-ball 103. On a sluggish surface where none of his teammates made more than 20, Prabhsimran single-handedly dragged his side from 43-5 to a fighting total of 167.

We come to the last over of the innings and Khaleel will bowl this one. Raza swings and misses the first ball. The second ball is smashed for a 6!! Full toss and it's deservedly punished. A wide follows and the next ball is reviewed by Raza. He thinks it's wide but the onfield umpire does not agree. It's a fair delivery, says the 3rd umpire. Mukesh Kumar will bowl the 19th and finally Prabhsimran has to walk back after getting castled. The Delhi players are also coming in to shake his hands as he makes his way back. PBKS 154/6 after 18.2 overs 

Khaleel Ahmed for the 18th and a misfield enables Singh to get a 2. Next ball is hit straight as an arrow but Patel has stopped the boundary with his feet. And a four to get his 100!!! PBKS 153/5 after 17.4 overs

Prabhsimran, meanwhile, isn't slowing down the slightest. He takes on Kuldeep and blasts him for a 6 and a 4. 12 off this over. PBKS 141/5 after 17 overs

Kuldeep to bwol the 17th and strikes on the very first ball. Brar plays a chip and it's straight to Mitchell Marsh. That's another gone for the Kings. PBKS 129/5 after 16.1 overs

Ishant runs in to bowl the 16th and Prabhsimran has slapped him over extra cover for a four!! 3 more from the next 3 balls. Brar pulls and falls in no man's land. Over ends with a boundary over the bowler's head. PBKS 120/4 after 16 overs

Praveen Dubey will bowl the 15th over and Curran rotates strike immediately. Prabhsimran on strike and he has hit the second ball into the rafters!! That one has travelled. Kuldeep will bowl the 14th and Prabhsimran goes for a big hit but it just falls short of an advancing Praveen. A single brings up 100 for Punjab. And the 5th ball is sent into the stands by Prabhsimran!!! PBKS 109/3 after 14 overs

Axar in to bowl the 13th and Curran rotates strike. Prabhsimran with a single next to get his 2nd IPL 50. A pretty gritty innings considering the circumstances, with wickets falling on the other end. PBKS 99/3 after 13 overs

Kuldeep will bowl the 12th and reins in the batters with just 2 off the first four balls. Prabhsimran places the 5th ball for a four. He is having a go at everything at the moment. PBKS 93/3 after 12 overs

Namit Kumar: When Liam Livingstone came to the crease on the ninth ball of the first innings on Saturday, it became glaringly obvious that Punjab Kings' top order ends at the openers.

Delhi's understanding of the sluggish conditions with the new ball at home have led to their mini-resurgence late in the tournament, with David Warner usually floating in one of his marquee spinners in the powerplay. Veteran Ishant Sharma did not need extraordinary bowling to mop up skipper Shikhar Dhawan, who gave his wicket away cheaply by lofting a ball straight to deep square leg after a wonderful six, and then Livingstone, who attempted to charge at a length ball and totally missed it to see his stumps knocked over. Shortly after, the introduction of Axar Patel would outfox Jitesh Sharma, who lost his stumps trying to play the ball inside out against the turn.

These were the kind of wickets that middle-order sloggers give away when they are forced into a position where they need to build the innings rather than finish it off, a recurring issue for Punjab this year. It will now be down to Sam Curran to drop anchor again, definitely not the role Punjab wanted him to play when they made him the highest-paid player in auction history this year.

Marsh will bowl the 11th and the batters sneak in 2 runs to start this one. Great running. Prabhsimran swings at the 3rd ball and has launched it into the stand for 6!! Kuldeep will bowl the 8th and yields a single off the first two deliveries. Prabhsimran pulls the 5th ball and it has just fallen a bit ahaed of the fielder. Lucky. PBKS 54/3 after 8 overs

Praveen Dubey in to bowl the 7th and starts with a single as Curran goes off strike. Short ball and Prabhsimran snatches at it but no harm done. A single brings up 50 for Punjab. PBKS 50/3 after 7 overs

Axar will bowl the last over of the powerplay and Prabhsimran starts him off with a six to deep backward square. With a switch hit no less. A single brings Jitesh on strike and a poor shot ends his stay. Fails to read the turn and he is castled. PBKS 45/3 after 5.24 overs

Ishant Sharma to bowl the 5th and what a delivery to rattle Livingstone's stumps. The English batter goes for a big heave, misses the ball and it all ends up. Ishant with a kiss goodbye to him. PBKS 31/2 after 4.1 overs

Axar Patel has been brought in for the 4th over and Prabhsimran slog sweeps him for a boundary off the second delivery. Unlucky for the 5th as it goes past the batter's leg side for a wide and a four to boot. PBKS 32/1 after 4 overs

Khaleel in to bowl the 3rd and Prabhsimran struggles to put him away resulting in back to back dots. Impatient slash at the ball next and it has gone the opposite side, over third for four. And another to add to the list and this one was deliberate. Drives it past the fielder at mid on for a boundary. DC 23/1 after 3 overs

Ishant in to bowl the 2nd over and Shikhar with a six to start this one!! That was a clean hit and has gone long. The next ball, he tries to flick off his leg side and plays the ball safely into the hands of Rossouw. PBKS 10/1 after 1.2 overs

In the other match of the day, Lucknow Super Giants who had a mountain to climb in chasing Sunrisers Hyderabad's 182, edged past SRH by 7 wickets, courtesy of 5 sixes off Abhishek Sharma's over.

David Warner: We will have a bowl. It is going to be a slow, low surface, it is not going to change much. The last game was not a good one but winning 4 out of 5 was quite good. The boys have come out with a lot of freedom and a clear mind. The crowd has come out and supported us. We have got the same 16, Ripal goes out.

Shikhar Dhawan: We would have bowled too but we are batting first, so looking forward to it. It is beautiful that they are putting up good performances. They are maturing and those are great signs. We have got one change – Raza comes back in and Rajapaksa misses out.

Delhi and Punjab have had huge troubles in exploding out of the blocks resulting in the teams averaging 20.18 and 18.45 respectively for the opening partnership.

Coming to the table, both teams are at the bottom rung of the standings with Punjab Kings at 8th position while Delhi are firmly stuck in the bottom.

Delhi suffered a debilitating loss against Chennai Super Kings last match with all their batters failing to fire. DC captain Warner was a little short of apoplectic after the match.

"We lost a wicket in the first over. Our opening combination is crucial and we even lost a wicket to a run-out. We threw wickets away and put too much on pressure on ourselves. It Was a gettable total and we needed a better first six (overs). We couldn’t rotate strike in the middle overs. We needed to try different things but we couldn’t. You can be conservative, but when you hit a wide half-tracker to cover… It was there to be hit. We should have executed better with those wide half-trackers," he had said after the match.

A major headache for Punjab will be Delhi captain David Warner, who after a decent start to the tournament, has petered out somewhat. But Arshdeep Singh and Rahul Chahar have never dismissed Warner. Kagiso Rabada has, thrice but he has also gone for runs. Warner also has scored 50 in 9 back to back appearance against the Punjab Kings from 2015-2020

A huge plus for the Punjab Kings will be Liam Livingstone who can demolish any bowling attack in the world on his day. However, his Achilles heel has always been left arm spin. Here's where Axar Patel will step in for Delhi. If he can neutralize the explosive England star, Delhi might have a sniff of a chance to get something from this game.

After a few spells of rain in the capital, the temperature is on the rise. The pitch is expected to assist the spinners as it's a little on the slower side. With dew being a factor in the last few matches, there is a chance of some above-par scores.
