Cops parade gangster Krushna Andekar, his cousins booked in Ayush Komkar murder case

A police team brought Krushna, Shivraj and Abhishek Andekar to Nana Peth area for investigation into cases filed against them.

The Pune city police paraded gangster Krushna Andekar along with his cousins Shivraj and Abhishek in Nana Peth area on Thursday evening.

All three are members of the dreaded gang led by Krushna’s father Suryakant alias Bandu Andekar and are booked in the murder of Ayush Komkar. A police team brought Krushna, Shivraj and Abhishek Andekar to Nana Peth area for investigation into cases filed against them. Police then paraded the three gangsters in Nana Peth, Ganesh Peth area to instill a sense of security in the area and curb the terror among the local residents.

Police officials said the Andekar gang had created terror and fear among the local residents in Nana Peth area by their criminal activities, including the sensational murder of 18 year old Ayush Komkar, at Bhavani Peth on September 5, 2025.

Along with Bandu, 15 others including Krushna, Shivraj and Abhishek Andekar were arrested in the Ayush Komkar murder case, and further stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) was invoked against them.

Police said Ayush was shot dead as revenge for the murder of former NCP corporator and Bandu’s son Vanraj Andekar, a year before, on September 1, 2024.

Ayush was the son of Kalyani Komkar, who is one of the daughters of Bandu Andekar. Kalyani’s husband Ganesh Komkar, sister Sanjivani and her husband Jayant Komkar, a rival Somnath Gaikwad, Sam alias Sameer Kale and others were arrested in Vanraj Andekar’s murder.

Meanwhile, on the afternoon of November 1, Sameer Kale’s brother Ganesh (30), an auto rickshaw driver, was shot dead by four motorcycle borne youngsters near the Khadi Machine chowk in Kondhwa, allegedly as per instructions of jailed gangster Bandu Andekar and his son Krushna.

Last month, the police demolished several illegal structures owned by the Andekar gang in Pune. Police also filed offences against the youngsters who had posted social media content glorifying the Andekars.
