Accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party of drifting from the core issue of Hindutva, the VHP said that the party should return to its old agenda.

Accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party of drifting from the core issue of Hindutva, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad on Saturday said that the party should return to its old agenda.

Speaking to reporters here, the internal vice president of VHP Dr Mahesh Bhai Mehta said that the BJP has drifted from its agenda of Hindutva and hence it is facing problems.

Once the party returns to its old agenda, all the problems will come to an end,he added.

When asked why the VHP has taken a step back on the Ram Mandir issue,Mehta said that the volunteers were ready to construct Ram temple in Ayodhya, and is only awaiting the Supreme Court’s order.
