SP asks BJP,RSS to rein in Gadkari

Criticising Nitin Gadkari's remarks on the Afzal Guru issue,the Samajwadi Party said the BJP and the RSS should ask him to desist from making such statements.

Criticising Nitin Gadkari’s remarks on the Afzal Guru issue,the Samajwadi Party said the BJP and the RSS should ask him to desist from making such statements.

“The SP criticises such a statement coming from the president of a party which claims to be an alternative force,” party national spokesperson Mohan Singh said.

He said such statements from a politician do not look good. “We request the BJP and the RSS to ask Gadkari not to make such remarks,” he said.

Addressing a rally in Dehradun last night,Gadkari taunted Congress for delay in executing the death sentence of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru,asking whether Guru was its ‘son-in-law’.

The remarks evoked sharp reactions from Congress,whereas BJP defended its leader’s comments.
