Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders in Gujarat will hold a meeting to discuss the preparations from the upcoming Viswadar Assembly bypoll.
The meeting will mark the culmination of the party’s newly appointed Gujarat in-charge Gopal Rai and co-in-charge Durgesh Pathak’s week-long tour of the state to expand the party’s organisational footprint.
This marks the first major organisational exercise in Gujarat since the party’s leadership overhaul following its defeat to the BJP in the recent Delhi Assembly elections.
AAP aims to build on its growing presence in Gujarat, where it won 32 local body seats in February and finished second in about 250 seats. The party has already announced that it would contest the 2027 elections in the state alone without opting for an alliance with Congress.
The Telangana government will launch its ‘Bhu Bharati’ portal for land records management on Monday.
The portal will initially be implemented as a pilot project in three mandals in the state, according to an official release issued on Saturday. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who held a meeting with Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy and officials, directed that the portal be made more effective by incorporating changes based on feedback received from citizens.
The Congress government has introduced the ‘Bhu Bharati’ portal to address the problems allegedly faced by citizens with the ‘Dharani’ (land) integrated records management system initiated during the previous BRS regime.
