Over 8100 centenarians to cast votes in Gujarat

There are 8143 voters in Gujarat who are aged 100 years and above, and are expected to cast their votes on April 30, stated the Election Commission while releasing the final list of voters on Thursday.

Surat with 1239 centenarian voters tops the list of 33 districts in the state, while Dangs with five such voters is at the bottom of the table. Ahmedabad with 820 voters comes second on this list.

There are over 5.07 lakh voters who are aged 80 and above, while there are over 48 lakh voters who are aged between 60-79 years in Gujarat , the release added.

As per the final list, the number of first time voters in Gujarat stand at 11.67 lakh. There are over 4.05 crore voters in Gujarat, of which 2.12 crore are males, while the rest are females and others.
