Nitish may not contest Bihar Assembly polls

Since he is already member of the legislative council, the leader would rather concentrate on campaigning for NDA.

Bihar Chief Minister and JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar today said he is unlikely to contest the Assembly elections.

“What is the need for me to contest the Assembly polls? I am already a Member of Legislative Council and have two to three years left to complete the term,” Kumar told reporters here.

“I will rather concentrate on electioneering for the NDA in its bid to seek a second term in office to complete development works in the state,” he said.
