Mayawati reportedly spending Rs 200 million on party rally

The Bahujan Samaj Party will be holding the rally to celebrate the selver jubilee of its formation.

Opposition in Uttar Pradesh criticised Chief Minister Mayawati as the State Government is reportedly sponsoring more than Rs 200 crore on a rally to commemorate sliver jubilee celebrations of the Bahujan Samaj Party.

The rally,which is scheduled to be held on Tuesday,expects a turn out of more that two million people.

Chief Minister Mayawati said the rally was being organised on the occasion of the birth anniversary of party founder Kanshi Ram and was aimed at reaching out to the people to apprise them of the government’s programmes and policies.

Criticising the Uttar Pradesh Government,Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh said,Mayawati has money to spend on a rally but not on those who were injured in Pratapgarh stampede.

Earlier,Uttar Pradesh Government said that it has no money to spend to help the victims of the Pratapgarh stampede.
