Ex-Guv tells Gadkari to apologise to Digvijay

Ex-Guv of Goa Bhanu Prakash Singh has demanded an apology from Nitin Gadkari for dubbing Cong leader Digvijay Singh as son of Aurangzeb.

Former Goa Governor Bhanu Prakash Singh on Wednesday demanded an apology from BJP President Nitin Gadkari for dubbing senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh as son of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.

Singh, who is also former President of the Rajput Parishad, said it was high time the BJP and the RSS seriously reconsidered appointment of Gadkari if the party has plans to rule the country.

“The sooner they (BJP) get rid of him,it will be better for the party and its future,” he said in a statement here condemning the remarks of the BJP President.

He noted that the least Gadkari could do was to go personally to Digvijay Singh and apologise to him for his “derogatory” remarks.

Recently,Gadkari had said “a general secretary and state in-charge (who) goes to Sanjarpur to pay homage to terrorists can never be called a descendant of Shivaji… he could only be son of Aurangzeb.”

Singh had visited the Muslim-dominated Sanjarpur village in February this year.
