Five terrorists killed in counter-terrorism operation in Pakistan

At least five terrorists were killed and three officials, including a Pakistan Army officer, were injured during a joint counter-terrorism operation by police and security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Saturday.

Two police officials and a major rank army officer were injured during the operation launched following credible intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the Shinawari Zargari area of Hangu district, police said.

A police official said the injured were moved to the hospital for medical treatment.

The official said the operation was still ongoing in the area.

The official said security forces remained on high alert as the joint operation progressed in the targeted areas.
