Hadkar XI A won the Dadasaheb Rege & Manikrao Lotukar Trophy third round Cricket tournament organised by Dadar Parsee Zorastrian yesterday. Hadkar beat Achrekar XI by 11 runs to lift the trophy.

Dadar XI victorious
A brace by Denzil Menzes helped the Dadar XI to defeat Indian Airlines 5-2 in a Division II match of the Western India Football Association here at the Cooperage Ground. Dilip Adsille, John Fernandes and Chinmay Chibomodiwere the other scorers for the Dadar team while Ravi Shankar and Subu PV scored for the losers.
Etambe, Anupama top
Nagsen Etambe and Anupama Kedar, both of Bank of India, bagged a title-treble each in the Mumbai District Carrom Association-conducted Districts Championships. Etambe defeated Narsing Rao Sakari (BSES) 25-21, 25-11 in the open singles final.
PM Bath champs
Nitin Malhotra scored a brace in PM Bath’s 2-0 victory over MGM Bath in the under-20 final of 27th YMCA Water Polo championships at the Bombay Central YMCA Agripada pool.
Tendulkar to lead
Former Indian captain Sachin Tendulkar would lead reigning Ranji Trophy champions Mumbai against the visiting Australians in a three-day tour opener at the Brabourne Stadium here from February 24 to 26.
The three-day match will also be the last appearance for former Test star Sanjay Manjrekar who has already announced his retirement from first class cricket.
