VADODARA, Feb 7: Zaheer Khan (5-67) tore the Bihar batting to shreds yet again as Vadodara triumphed by an innings and 114 runs with a day-and-a-half to spare in a Group B match to bag the full eight points at the IPCL ground here on Monday.

Resuming at 74 for three, Bihar managed 266, thanks to an enterprising 72 by opener Nikhilesh Ranjan. Zaheer’s five wickets gave him a haul of ten for the match.

Ricky slams ton

Punjab opener Ravneet Ricky followed up his successes in the Youth World Cup with a maiden century a fine innings 134 in a Group B match against Hyderbad. Ricky was involved in two valuable stands 57 for the sixth wicket with Harminder Jugnu and 99 for the seventh with Sandeep Sharma as Punjab declared their first innings at 363 for eight, a lead of 246 runs.

TN win by innings
CHENNAI:
Tamil Nadu posted an emphatic innings and 26 runs victory over Saurashtra in a Group C match here. Seamer DJ Gokulakrishnan (4-12) ensured that the Saurashtra’s first innings folded up for 217 just inside of 70 minutes. Saurashtra were no better following on as they were all out for 228.
