Workshop to improve health of tannery workers

Ambur, Feb 21: The Vaniyambadi Tanners Association (VTA) in cooperation with the Indian Leather Industry Foundation and the United Nations Industrial Organisation (UNIDO) is conducting a two-day workshop on Occupational safety and health for tannery personnel’. According to T Mohamed Mubeen, General Secretary, VTA, the main theme of the workshop would be to prepare the tanners for the new challenges on the ways and means to improve the safety and health standards of the tannery workers.
