From celebrities to students, everyone seems to be bitten by the fitness bug these days. Health is not the only reason for it though. Beauty and fashion has also become reasons for one to shed those extra kilos. Medications, surgery, diets and exercise 8212; while there are many ways to do so 8212; it has always been known that exercising is the most safe and effective way to lose weight. It not only helps reduce fat but also improves your endurance and stamina.

8220;Exercising is not important only when you are fat. Even if you are in good health regular workouts are important to keep you going. These days obesity is a common problem everywhere. It can give rise to a number of health problems and everyone looks for a quick and effective way to lose weight. But we should always remember that it is important to adapt a healthy lifestyle and enjoy whatever form of exercise we indulge in,8221; suggests celebrity fitness trainer Susanna Backman Boman, who was in city recently to inaugurate Tushar8217;s Fitness Studio on NIBM Road.

The monotonous regime of weight training is passeacute;. Power yoga, kickboxing, fusion dancing and so on have also been inculcated in the workout regimes now. 8220;Exercise may be done in any form, be it sports, dance, yoga, walking or simple stretches, the most important thing is it must be accepted and enjoyed by your mind and body,8221; says Boman, adding, 8220;Walking is the most significant and easiest way to burn your fats and tone the body muscles.8221;

Cardiovascular exercises like jogging, walking, stair climbing, cycling or rowing, are the basics for any workout. 8220;Cardiovascular exercises improve and increase the body8217;s metabolism. Your warm-ups start with such exercises. They are very good especially for the elderly; it keeps their heart rate in check and also keeps them healthy,8221; shares Boman.

But Marie Carola Solem, who had earlier been a personal trainer for 13 years, discovered yoga as her way to healthy life. 8220;After I found yoga I stopped weight training. Yoga is the best and the most steady way for exercise and relaxation. I practice Ashtanga yoga six days a week. Now, I am a full time yoga teacher, teaching Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga and Hatha yoga in Sweden,8221; says Solem a fitness model and personal trainer.
