Uday Benegal is a busy man. The concept of unwinding over the weekend sounds nice to him but he doesn’t really have the time for it. On most weekends the singer works. "My wife does complain but what can one do?" he asks.

But that doesn’t make him a boring person. Not at all. The lead singer of Rock Machine and now, Indus Creed is an avid movie watcher. So he tries to watch films over the weekend. He doesn’t like the typical filmi stuff or movies that have "no theatrical release"; and yet he watches other films besides Hollywood blockbusters.

But his passion and his favourite way to unwind is simple it’s through his stomach. "I eat a lot," he unabashedly admits. He loves food "good food," he adds, rather unnecessarily. By `good food’ the rock star does not mean bland, diet food or a balanced meal. "There’s no connection between spices and the vocal chords," he says. He hears melody in anything that makes food taste yummy!

Uday also tries to catch up on his reading on weekends. And he does like to getaway from Mumbai. "But the city doesn’t offer too much leisure activity. It’s so badly located," he says. His chief complaint is that he doesn’t want to go to the usual Lonavala or Matheran. So, on weekends Uday Benegal now belting out R&B and soul for his bands new avatar as Fuzzy Duck sings.
