Set in the 1960s,X-MEN: First Class takes the viewers to the beginning of the X-Men saga and reveals a secret history of famous global events. The movie traces how two close friends discovering their powers for the first time, Professor X and Magneto,turn into foes and wage an eternal war.

The film introduces a new group of mutants and promises to have outstanding special effects,brilliant action sequences and powerful characters.

The buzz

The buzz is that the 20-year-old actress,Jennifer Lawrence,who plays shape-shifting mutant Mystique appears naked apart from blue body-paint in numerous scenes in the film.

Being envisioned as the first film of a new trilogy,the film parallels the history of the Cuban Missile Crisis and the Civil Rights Movement.

Based on the characters appearing in Marvel Comics,it is the fifth instalment of the X-Men series and a prequel to the first three X-Men films.
