First Conan Doyle novel to be published

Sherlock Holmes creator Arthur Conan Doyles debut novel is to be published for the first time in September, nearly 130 years after it was written. The Narrative of John Smith was unfinished and differed radically from the Sherlock Holmes stories that made him famous, but experts said it offered a window into the mind of Conan Doyle as a young author. To be published by the British Library which owns an extensive Conan Doyle collection, the book was written in 1883 and 1884,before the publication of A Study In Scarlet.

Hailee Steinfeld,14,to bare all

Oscar nominated actress Hailee Steinfeld,14,is at the centre of a controversy after it was reported that she will be shooting a risque sex scene in her next film Romeo and Juliet. The True Grit star will appear naked in the modern adaptation of the Shakespeare classic, which she signed up to earlier this year, reported Sunday Times online. A leaked copy of the films script, written by Julian Fellowes, revealed the scene. Fellowes said he wanted to have an age-appropriate actor.
