Narnia producer found dead

New York: Chronicles of Narnia producer and novelist Perry Moore has died of an apparent drug overdose in whats being suspected as a suicide case. He was 39. The producer was found unconscious by his partner Hunter Hill in the bathroom of their posh Soho apartment after an overdose of the painkiller OxyContin,the New York Daily News reported,quoting sources. Were in shock, Moores father,Bill said,adding that his son was in a great mood when he spoke to him the other night. Moore had reportedly been suffering from knee and back problems for quite some time. Though there is speculation of the producer committing suicide,an official cause of death will be determined after the autopsy.

Kung Fu Panda faces lawsuit

LOS ANGELES: Hollywood studio DreamWorks is facing a copyright lawsuit over its hit animated film Kung Fu Panda. The studio has been sued by an artist named Jayme Gorden,who claims he created the inspiration behind the movie,which grossed 632 million worldwide. Gordon filed a 28-page suit in US District Court in Massachusetts Friday,alleging that Dreamworks and distributor Paramount copied the film from Gordons works,titled Kung Fu Panda Power. The artist claims the studio took more than just the title of his work by featuring animated characters that bore a striking similarity to the characters he drew,which he says were registered with the US Copyright Office in 2000,the Hollywood Reporter said.
