Mulayam Singh Yadavs faux pas during the voting for Presidential election wherein he mistakenly voted for P A Sangma before tearing the ballot paper and casting his vote in favour of Pranab Mukherjee caused him much embarrassment. When the Election Commission declared,a day before counting,that his vote for Mukherjee would be rejected,Mulayam wanted to make a representation seeking a revision in the order. But Congress managers are learnt to have prevailed upon him not to do that as it would keep his mistake in public eye for a longer time. The Samajwadi Party chief is learnt to have been convinced by the argument and let bygones be bygones.
