Car-maker Volkswagen today posted a 7.74 per cent decline in its sales in India at 6,529 units for February.
The company had sold 7,077 units in the corresponding period last year.
Compact car ‘Polo’ and sedan ‘Vento’ continue to be the backbone for the brand,with a total of over 6,000 units sold in February,Volkswagen said in a statement.
“The year has started on a positive note for the industry and we look forward for a positive growth this year,” Volkswagen Group Sales India Member of Board and Director,Volkswagen Passenger Cars,Neeraj Garg said.
