TMC MLA slaps auto drivers

Trinamool Congress MLA Paresh Paul on Tuesday reportedly slapped and punched auto-rickshaw drivers and forced one of them to do sit-ups at Kankurgachi-Phool Bagan area. All this happened even as policemen on duty watched.

The auto drivers had put up a road blockade to protest the hike in the LPG price. Along with his supporters,Paul took to the streets to lift the road blockade. As he reached the spot,he allegedly began slapping and punching the protesters. Paul also reportedly dragged one of the auto drivers by his collar and ordered him to do sit-ups.

On Wednesday again,auto-rickshaw drivers along with CITU supporters took part in a protest rally to press for their demands in Kolkata.
