T-Series,Rs 175
Pritam is in full-on retro mode, complete with a funky and not-too-appealing re-creation of Pyar lo pyar do from the 1986 Janbaaz and an all-pervading influence of old-time lyrics in thought as well as lexicon in the words of Ashish Pandit,Amitabh Bhattacharya and Kumaar. Thus,in the original tracks,it is refreshing to hear long-forgotten words like phoohaar and malaal amidst the standard Sufi-Punjabi-gimmicky Urdu jargon rampant today.
I loved Neeraj-Javed Alis Pyaar mein Javed should stop cloning Sonu now and Sonus madcap My heart is beating, while Neeraj makes Full Volume zingy too.

T-Series,Rs 175
Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy continue their dull streak. Mehki mehki Shreya-Kshitij Wagh and Kaun hai ajnabi KK-Aditi Singh Sharma sound okay but have little recall value. And Anusha Mani outshines Shaan in the ho-hum Maine yeh kab socha tha.
Khelo Rang Hamare Sang
Saregama,Rs 75
Old and new known and unknown,Saregama compiles a 30-song collection of Holi numbers, beginning with Aans Khelo rang hamare sang and Holi aayi re Kanhai Mother India to Aayi aayi Holi from Karma Aur Holi 2008.
The genre itself is limited but the unknown and rarer songs Aabroo,Kal Hamara Hai,Nayee Padosan make for some freshness. But we missed out on Suhana Safars brilliant Chudiyaan bazaar se,while Sholay could have been easily licensed as in other compilations because non-Saregama Holi songs are almost non-existent.
