Putting an end to the 20-day-old political drama,Andhra Pradesh Speaker Nadendla Manohar Saturday night rejected resignations of the 101 Telangana MLAs,cutting across party lines,saying they were submitted in a fit of emotion. Resignations submitted in an emotion cant be accepted, Manohar said.
The MLAs dubbed the Speakers act as undemocratic. The MLAs,including 12 ministers,had resigned on July 4 and 5 to press the Centre to create Telangana.
