Shares of TCS ended with smart gains of 3.56 per cent at Rs 1,140.40 per share a life-time high on the Bombay Stock Exchange,proving the best performer on the benchmark Sensex.
The scrip witnessed a similar surge on the National Stock Exchange and closed at Rs 1,143,up 3.57 per cent from previous close. On the volume front,about 26 lakh shares of the company were traded on the bourses.
