Stop press,the PIB way

On the eve of the Republic Day,the Home Ministry released the names of Padma awardees with the embargo that these were not to be published/ broadcast/telecast before January 26. Within minutes the Press Information Bureau put up the same release on the official website,with the same embargo written in block letters. Meanwhile,with less than four months left of his tenure,the Principal Director General in the Press Information Bureau,Uma Kant Mishra,is meeting senior ministers to secure an extension. He has already met Kapil Sibal,Murli Deora and T R Baalu in this regard.
