Sourav Ganguly releases music

The new adaptation of the 1980 classic Ogo Bodhu Sundori had its music release in the presence of Sourav Ganguly.

The new adaptation of the 1980 classic Ogo Bodhu Sundori had its music release in the presence of Sourav Ganguly,former Indian cricket captain. Directed by Sunando Mitra and produced jointly by D’ Silva Production,Rose Valley Films and Brand Value Communications,the album was launched under the banner of INRECO. The film introduces singer Babul Supriyo in the lead along with Sreelekha Mitra,Monami Ghosh,Arnab Banerjee,Sabitri Chatterjee,Haradhan Bandopadhyay,Kharaj Mukherjee and others. Babul said,‘It’s a great honour to have Sourav Ganguly release the music of my film. I will always cherish the moment.” Bappi Lahiri,the original composer of the 1980 film has re-created the super-hit songs once again in the voices of Babul Supriyo,Alka Yagnik,Shreya Ghoshal and Anwesha.

Aadesh Shrivastava’s celebration
Aadesh Shrivastava celebrated his marriage anniversary with his wife Vijayeta,family and close friends at a Mumbai 5-star. The guests included Kumar Taurani of Tips,Champak Jain of Venus,Govind Nihalani,lyricist Sameer,actor Shekhar Suman,composer Lalit Pandit,singers Shaan and Sonu Niigaam and others.

Golden Melodies of Mohd. Rafi and Lata Mangeshkar
The golden melodies of Lata Mangeshkar and Mohammed Rafi would be presented by the Rafi Foundation,Mumbai in the city’s Dinanath Mangshkar Sabhagrih on April 23. A special tribute to the late ace filmmaker Shakti Samanta by way of a medley of his film songs would also be presented,said Binu Nair,founder of the Rafi Foundation.
“We plan to honour the contribution of music legends,build a Rafi Music library and also spruce up Bandra’s Mohammed Rafi Chowk,” stated Nair in a press release.
Lata Mangeshkar and Mohammed Rafi have sung more duets with each other than with anyone else. They have also sung more duets together than any other pair of playback singers,with their first duet being in the 1940s when both were upcoming artistes. Their last duet together was Shaher mein charcha hai from the 1981 film Aas Paas,Rafi’s last recorded song.
