Did Solicitor General of India Gopal Subramanium keep Law Minister M Veerappa Moily informed while accepting the Union Home Ministrys brief to travel to the US for seeking access to David Headley? While those close to Subramanium say he took the Law Ministers approval before leaving for the trip,Law Ministry officials say no such approval was sought or granted. They say the MHA violated the rules by directly engaging Subramanium for the job. Also, they wonder, would the Solicitor General be paid any fees by the MHA? The last word has not been said or written on the issue.
