Sensex scaled the landmark 20,000 milestone for the second time in 32 months.

With the Dalal Street acting bullish once again,the benchmark index Sensex today scaled the landmark 20,000 milestone for the second time in 32 months.

Following is the chronology of Sensex’s eventful journey from the first time it kissed the 20,000 level in October 2007,to the lows of 8,000 points during the global financial crisis,before the comeback to the high level of 20,000 today.

20,000 — October 29,2007 (Sensex reaches the new peak the first time)

20,000 — December 11,2007 (Sensex closes above the 20,000 mark)

Trump hikes H-1B visa fees to $100,000 a year in massive immigration overhaul

President Trump has signed a proclamation increasing the H-1B visa fee to USD 100,000 per year in an effort to prevent abuse of the visa system. This will affect skilled Indian professionals, who make up the majority of H-1B visa recipients. The goal is to protect American workers while still allowing companies to hire qualified individuals.
