Rice basmati,jowar rise on fresh buying

Prices of rice basmati and jowar rose up to Rs 75 per quintal on the wholesale grains market.

Prices of rice basmati and jowar rose up to Rs 75 per quintal on the wholesale grains market today.

Traders said fresh buying by stockists following pick up in demand against restricted arrivals from producing belts mainly pushed up rice basmati and jowar prices.

In the national capital,rice basmati Pusa-1121 variety moved up by Rs 50 to Rs 3,300-3,900 per quintal on retailers demand.

Jowar yellow and white also rose by Rs 75 each to Rs 1,050-1,100 and Rs 1,825-2,000 per quintal respectively.
