The J&K government on Thursday transferred the Medical Superintendent of GB Pant Hospital,Dr Javid Chowdhary, here after an interim inquiry report into infant deaths at the hospital indicted the hospital administration of management failure, leading to shortage of manpower and equipments.

We have received the interim report, said state Health and Medical Education Secretary Manoj Kumar Diwedi. It (interim report) has pointed out that the hospital indeed is lacking in capacity on many fronts like manpower, equipment and overall management of the services.

The administration there has been casual, did not taken things seriously, Diwedi said. We have attached the Medical Superintendent of the Hospital. No one would be spared. We will take action against others if they are also found guilty.
