Pradeep Shukla deemed suspended

Now he would be able to get his suspension allowance.

For the first time after his arrest on May 10,the UP government has issued an order,stating that senior IAS officer Pradeep Shukla,who is an accused in the NRHM scam,was deemed suspended,and attached him to the Board of Revenue. Shukla was granted bail by the special court on August 8 and subsequently released from Dasna jail in Ghaziabad.

Now he would be able to get his suspension allowance. He is deemed suspended since the date of his custody,May 10. He has informed the state government about his release from the jail. So,he is now attached to board of revenue, Principal Secretary Appointment Rajiv Kumar explained.

Sachin in RS: Govt gets time to reply on PIL

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday granted more time to the Centre to file its reply on a PIL which challenged the nomination of Sachin Tendulkar to the Rajya Sabha. The Centre was granted time till September 5. The bench was hearing a PIL filed by Ram Gopal Singh Sisodia,a former Delhi MLA. It said that the Constitution allowed the government to select from only four categories arts,science,literature and social science and that the selection of a sportsperson was unconstitutional.
