Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday underwent coronary angiography at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). A team led by Dr K Srinath Reddy,chairman of PM medical panel,will decide on the future course of action in the next few days. The PM had gone for an overall medical check-up at the premier institute on Tuesday which included urine,blood and some cardiac tests. Doctors confirmed that the half-an-hour procedure was conducted on Wednesday morning after an unusual development was seen in the tests conducted on Tuesday. Sources in the hospital said some blockages have been detected in his heart vessels.

The 76-year-old PM has undergone coronary angiography along with a series of other tests,Dr Reddy confirmed. The report of the angiography will be discussed by the team of doctors with the PMs family,after which a final call will be taken. This may take another couple of days as there is nothing serious, said a senior doctor at the AIIMS.
