Continuing with its attempts to push armed terrorists into Jamp;K,Pakistani troops Wednesday resorted to unprovoked firing on forward Indian positions in Rajouri and Poonch districts.
S N Acharya,defence ministry spokesperson,said the Army noticed two to three armed persons sneaking into this side of the LoC in Keri,Rajouri at around 11 am. On being challenged,they opened fire.
Pakistani troops across the LoC also fired at Indian positions to provide cover to the infiltrating terrorists and the firing continued till afternoon.
On Tuesday,Pakistan had violated ceasefire in Poonch.
