Pakistans intelligence services are willing to work more closely with Afghanistan to fight Taliban militants,President Asif Ali Zardari said Wednesday after talks with the Afghan leader Hamid Karzai. The Afghan President made a veiled reference to the existence of terrorist hideouts on the Pakistani side of their shared border.

12 die as drones target Haqqani group
In a major onslaught aimed at the Haqqani group,US drones fired missiles at their hideouts in the north-west tribal region killing 12 terrorists. About 10 to 12 drones carried out a wave of attacks on Dargah Mandi and Danday Darpa Khel near Miranshah,the main town in North Waziristan.
