NCW sends notice

Sharma also demanded that the retired judge step down from his position as the chairman of the WB HRC.

National Commission for Women NCW Friday issued a notice to retired Supreme Court judge Justice A K Ganguly asking him to clarify within four days his stand on the sexual harassment charges brought against him by a former intern. If he fails to do so,he will be summoned to NCW. Chairperson Mamta Sharma also demanded that the retired judge step down from his position as the chairman of the West Bengal Human Rights Commission and urged the states Trinamool government to seek his resignation. Sharma said the NCW had already written to the Delhi Police on November 12 asking for an FIR to be lodged. A reminder was sent on Friday asking for status.
