MP stopped from travel,report sought

Adityanath raised the issue when the House assembled for the day.

Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar on Thursday demanded a report from the government on the issue of BJP MP Yogi Adityanath being stopped by the Uttar Pradesh police from travelling within the state.

Adityanath raised the issue when the House assembled for the day. He said the police forcibly deboarded him from the train when he was on his way to his constituency on Wednesday evening. He said he was held back at Ghaziabad station for three hours before being told that he was being prevented from going to Ambedkar Nagar,where a Hindu leader was murdered over the weekend.

I have received your notice of your being forcibly deboarded by the UP Police from Vaishali Express8230;. I am calling for a factual note from the government, the Speaker said.
