Auto major Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M),today said it will be launching a new sports utility vehicle (SUV) in the Indian market in a year’s time.
“We will be launching the vehicle in the first quarter of FY 12,” Mahindra and Mahindra’s Auto and Farm Equipment Sector’s President,Pawan Goenka,told reporters on the sidelines of an event here.
The new SUV,which is in the R&D stage,will be “more premium” than the company’s current offering of Scorpio,Goenka said.
In the passenger segment,the company also manufacturers Xylo,which is pitched as a van,and multiple variants of the Bolero which have been running for over a decade now,and the sedan,Logan.
