Maderna supporters resign from Cong in protest

A day after Mahipal Maderna was sacked from the Rajasthan Cabinet,a handful of his supporters from his Assembly constituency sent in their resignations to the Congress headquarters in Jaipur.

A day after Mahipal Maderna was sacked from the Rajasthan Cabinet,a handful of his supporters from his Assembly constituency sent in their resignations to the Congress headquarters in Jaipur.

The Rajasthan High Court also questioned the state government’s decision to hand the probe over to the CBI on Monday.

PCC sources said at least a dozen of Maderna’s supporters from the Osian constituency in Jodhpur district had sent in their resignations in protest.

Said a senior Congress official: “Some of Mahipal Maderna’s supporters,including a few sarpanches and panchayat members,resigned in protest on Monday.”

The Rajasthan High Court on Monday directed the CBI to give the court a progress report of their investigation so far.
