Left govt has done practically no work

Chief Minster Mamata Banerjee on Saturday alleged that practically no work had been done by the previous Left Front rule in West Bengal,while taking stock of the situation in the state by consulting various departments,which she kept to herself in the new government.

I called all the departments,particularly health,land and land reforms,power,agriculture and education, she told reporters here. It has become clear after having detailed discussions with the secretaries of the departments that practically no work has been done over many years during the Left Fronts rule.

Mamata,who has stated that she will have a Chief Minister8217;s Office on the lines of the PMO,said she will expand the chief ministers secretariat to facilitate speedy work.
