Finland arrests two in first ever terror case

Helsinki: Two people arrested earlier this month on suspicion of financing terrorism and terror recruitment have foreign backgrounds and their alleged actions were not aimed at Finland,officials said on Saturday. The detentions are the first known terror-linked arrests in the country. The actions or activity involved were not aimed at Finland, Detective Inspector Kaj-Erik Bjorkvist from the National Bureau of Investigation said.

Four held in Shahbaz Taseer kidnapping case

Lahore: The police have arrested four suspects identified as Javed,Vikki,Sarwar and Ijaz in connection with the kidnapping of Shahbaz Taseer,the son of slain Punjab Governor Salmaan Taseer. The suspects were picked up from the slums of Gulberg in Lahore late on Friday night,police spokesman Niyab Haider said.
