Karunakaran put on ventilator

Congress veteran K Karunakaran,93,who has been hospitalised since Saturday,was put on ventilator on Monday after his health deteriorated. A medical bulletin from Anananthapurai Hospital said he was breathing with the support of the ventilator and was not responding to medicines. The platelet count in his blood has gone down alarmingly. He was admitted to the hospital with urinary infection. His condition worsened on Sunday evening.
