In fact,talks are on but what is preventing the final clinch is Aishwarya Rai Bachchans price. It is heard that the actress is demanding an astronomical amount which,if the producers pay her,will make the project financially unviable. Her spokesperson was not available for a comment.

There is a strong buzz that Giselle Monteiro may land a part in Dibakar Banerjees Shanghai. It will indeed be a big leap for the actress who made her debut as Harleen Kaur in Imtiaz Alis Love Aaj Kal and will soon be seen in Roshan Abbass Always Kabhi Kabhi. An intense political thriller,Shanghai already stars Abhay Deol who plays a cold,vicious character and Emraan Hashmi,a calculating lawyer. If things work out,then it will be interesting to see how Banerjee fits the pretty Brazilian in this film that deals with the deadly politics in a small town.
