Innovation Bill may go to House

In the works for nearly two years now,the Innovation Universities Bill may finally head to Cabinet.

While the Bill ran into trouble when it first went to Cabinet earlier this year with 20 ministries/ departments raising red flags over a range of issues,the legislation has now passed muster after being vetted by a Committee of Secretaries. Being fine-tuned by the HRD ministry,the Bill is now likely to find a passage to Parliament with minor changes.
