The Trinamool now has 186 seats,Congress 40 and Left Front 61 in the 294-strong Assembly. The TMC should now realise that without the Congress they cant defeat the CPM, said Manas Bhunia, former state Congress chief. TMC MP Saugata Roy countered,Earlier all the seats were held by Congress. Now we have snatched one from them at Malda which is a Congress bastion. Murshidabad is a stronghold of Congress. Nalhati saw the win of Left candidate due to vote division. The results could have been better, but we see it as a gain.
