Idea launches per second billing plan

Idea Cellular said it has introduced a per second billing plan for its customers across the country.

Telecom operator Idea Cellular on Saturday said it has introduced a per second billing plan for its customers across the country,intensifying the tariff-war in an already competitive mobile market.

Idea subscribers availing this plan will get to make all local and STD calls on any network in the country for 1 paisa per second,Idea Cellular said in a statement.

Earlier,this month Idea had introduced a per-second pulse rate for its subscribers in Himachal Pradesh.

8220;With our new per second plan,our subscribers will get to choose from a range of affordable tariff plans. The new plans will allow Idea subscribers to make all local and STD calls at the same rate,8221; Idea Cellular Chief Marketing Officer Pradeep Shrivastava said.

Most of the telecom players,including Bharti Airtel,MTS,Aircel have already launched a per second billing plan,which allows subscribers to pay per second for calls.
