Idea launches per second billing plan

Idea Cellular said it has introduced a per second billing plan for its customers across the country.

Telecom operator Idea Cellular on Saturday said it has introduced a per second billing plan for its customers across the country,intensifying the tariff-war in an already competitive mobile market.

Idea subscribers availing this plan will get to make all local and STD calls on any network in the country for 1 paisa per second,Idea Cellular said in a statement.

Earlier,this month Idea had introduced a per-second pulse rate for its subscribers in Himachal Pradesh.

“With our new per second plan,our subscribers will get to choose from a range of affordable tariff plans. The new plans will allow Idea subscribers to make all local and STD (calls) at the same rate,” Idea Cellular Chief Marketing Officer Pradeep Shrivastava said.

Most of the telecom players,including Bharti Airtel,MTS,Aircel have already launched a per second billing plan,which allows subscribers to pay per second for calls.
